This empty nester has an unused and awkward room in her house. We decided to embrace the two levels of the room and use them as a way to create division of space in this unique studio apartment that she'll be able to rent out. The lower level will serve as the kitchen and living space. The upper level will serve as the bedroom with space for a dresser and a desk. This part of the existing house already has access to a bathroom and will be closed off from the rest of the house.
